Scrolled iron hinges, forged into S-curves, carry the single door of this honey-brown oak cabinet, and a pierced iron escutcheon holds its key on the opposite side. The door has one deep fielded panel with strong figure, set in a pegged frame. Above is a heavy rounded cornice moulding under a flat overhanging top, and below, a shaped apron runs between small stepped block feet. The door hangs a little proud of its frame, the cornice mitres have opened at the corners, and an old patch is let in beside the lower hinge.
