A long chestnut top, boards worn smooth and gone a cool brown, carried on a heavy baluster trestle base bound with iron straps and a low stretcher. The wood shows old chatter marks, a few splits running the grain, and dark staining scattered across the surface. Real weight and presence in the base, which was made to last. Seats a good crowd.
