Two wide oak boards form the overhanging top, which has a moulded edge, an open joint down the middle and old peg holes and stains in a warm brown. Below it a single frieze drawer runs the full width, with bright brass batwing plates and swan neck handles and lined in green baize. The legs are turned as slim balusters with a ring at the collar, rubbed pale on the back pair, and drop to square blocks joined by a low box stretcher. It would do as a hall table or beside a bed.
