19th c. Small French Oak Wine Table

An oval-topped vendange table in pale scrubbed oak, the small folding form once carried out to the vineyard at harvest. A V-shaped support locks the top upright over trestle feet, and the surface has bleached to a soft putty with the grain raised. Good beside a chair where a lamp and a glass need somewhere to land.
