Freckles and old marks are scattered over the round oak top, which has a deep brown colour, a straight grain and a plain square edge. It sits on a block above a turned column with a long shaft, a ring and a vase shaped swell lower down, and the column drops into three cabriole legs that end in long pad feet. The legs have old shrinkage splits along them and the base is a shade more golden than the top. It does well next to an armchair with a lamp on it.
