Sourced from an old French château farmhouse, this 19th-century walnut bonnetière is a fine example of provincial craftsmanship. This tall armoire features the classic narrow proportions designed for storing bonnets and linens, with distinctive dentil molding at the crown and beautifully crafted five-panel door construction. The original iron hardware includes that charming long chain, while the walnut has developed a rich tone and patina. The solid corner construction and traditional joinery methods show the practical building techniques that made these storage pieces so durable.
