Bobbin turning runs the full frame of this Dutch armchair — legs, stretchers, arms, and uprights all worked in tight rows of beads, with slender tapered spindles across the backrest and small finials at the posts. The rush seat is original and sound, woven in a diagonal pattern that has aged to a warm straw colour against the dark, glossy wood. A chair that earns a corner of its own.
