Antique English Cricket Table

Dark brown boards make up the round top, with open joints between them and an edge worn uneven all the way round. Underneath, three square legs splay out from a triangular apron and are tied lower down by a boarded undertier, which gives a second surface for books or a basket. The old dark finish has rubbed through to pale wood along the corners of the legs and in a patch on the shelf. It is a generous size for a cricket table and sits well beside a sofa or in a kitchen corner.
