Antique English Pine Hutch with Original Glass Upper

English pine in a warm honeyed tone, built in two parts. The glazed top has a pair of arched doors holding their original glass, and behind them the interior is painted a rich blue — the reason to buy this one, framed by the arches and easy to see through the old glass. Below the panes are raised paneled cupboard doors, with a small turned knob between them and a stepped cornice across the top. The base is a chest of two short drawers over two long, each with its original brass bail pulls, pierced backplates and keyhole escutcheons, on a plinth foot. Scattered dark staining, softened edges, the pine gone a soft gold against that blue. Display above, deep storage below — good in a kitchen or a dining room.
