A housekeeper's cupboard in two stages, in pine gone a deep amber with dark knots through every board. The upper half has two panelled doors under a moulded cornice, with a brass keyhole plate, its key and a turned knob, and inside, the shelves and the backs of the doors are painted an old pale green. Below are three long drawers on dark turned knobs, set on a plain plinth. At 30 inches wide it takes very little floor for the storage it holds. Linens, pantry goods or a small library would all suit it.
