Two deep drawers sit over a pair of open bays in stripped pine, each bay fitted with a single shelf and a boarded back behind it. The top is thick, with a heavy rounded front edge full of knots, and it carries old scratches, a few dark spots and a mitred return at each end. The brass cup pulls have dulled to brown, the drawers are dovetailed by hand, and the whole thing stands on a moulded plinth. It would work well as a kitchen server, or in a hall for baskets and linens.
