A dark-stained pedestal desk with two frieze drawers over four graduated drawers to each pedestal, all on turned wood knobs with brass keyhole escutcheons. The surface has worn deep and a little rough with use, the kneehole generous, the plinth bases set on castors. A proper working desk, with ten drawers of storage and the marks to show it has earned them.
