Oil on canvas — a basket of strawberries tipped forward onto a dark ledge, with a silver goblet, a dark green bottle, and a few greengages scattered at the front. The paint is worked thickly through the fruit and thins to near-black in the ground behind. Signed at the lower left. Held in an ebonised frame with a pale slip, chipped back to bare wood at the corners. Small, dark, and better lit from the side.
