Antique French Thonet Bentwood Coat Rack

Bentwood stained a deep brown curls out from the top of the pole in a ring of double hooks, each a long S with a tight scroll at the upper end and a shorter hook below. A turned finial caps the pole, and lower down a hoop with four looped scrolls holds umbrellas and walking sticks. Four splayed legs, each made of two bent rods, stand on small block feet. The finish is rubbed on the hook tips and scuffed at the feet, as you would expect of something kept by a front door.
