Large Antique Woven English Basket

A low, wide coiled basket in dark aged willow — the body built up in tight twisted bundles and bound at the rim with a contrasting wrapped braid that gives it a clean finished edge. The color has deepened to a near-tobacco brown, the surface dry and slightly rough with the texture that only comes from real age. Flat enough to use as a tray, wide enough to hold fruit or a cutting board — or simply left on a surface as it is.
