French Ironstone Lait (milk) Pitcher

A small milk jug in white ironstone, printed in blue with a flowering branch and the word Lait set into a ribboned banner. The rim is scalloped, and ochre staining runs down from the spout where it was used and rinsed and used again. A chip at the lip, crazing overall. Small enough for the table, and it does still pour.
