An original antique oil landscape painting by well known English artist, Sidney Yates Johnson.
Johnson was a prolific painter of landscapes from Circa 1890 to 1926. Many of his works are classic Victorian English landscapes. His work is highly collected and has a distinctive style similar to that of Frank Hider. He did not often inscribe his work with the location but instead signed in wet paint or sometimes with a monogram also scratched into the wet paint.
