Fine reeding runs down three fixed panels across the front, one at each end and one between the two doors, and it gives the dry, honey-coloured oak most of its texture. The doors are fielded panels with iron cartouche escutcheons, a grey stain trailing below each keyhole. Above them one small drawer with an iron ring pull is cut into the deep cornice moulding, and a scalloped apron runs between carved block feet. Pegs show at every joint, the sides have old splits near the base, and each cupboard holds two shelves in darker oak.
